Emma is the London Fastlaners Project Manager. Emma has spent the last six years working in the charity sector in international development and youth work. Emma spent five years working for the international development NGO, VSO, first as a fundraiser and then as the Inclusion Coordinator for International Citizen Service (ICS), an international youth volunteering programme for 18-25 year-olds funded by the UK Government and led by VSO.
Passionate about youth development and youth empowerment, Emma has worked in a number of local youth centres in London with young people with a range of needs including homelessness, gang involvement, substance misuse, unemployment and domestic violence.
Emma studied History and German at the University of Manchester graduating in 2010. She recently completed a Masters in Applied Anthropology, Community and Youth Work at Goldsmiths University and is a qualified youth worker.
In her spare time, Emma can be found volunteering at local youth organisations, exploring the world, cycling around London on her bike or in the cinema!
