Emma Howard

Emma Howard is a journalist who writes for the Guardian on social affairs and the environment. She has won a British Journalism Award for her work on Keep it in the Ground, the Guardian's climate change campaign, and a Legal Reporting Award for her reports on the impact of cuts to legal aid.  She also worked on their international campaign against FGM. 

She previously spent two years working for a social enterprise focused on local activism and on an international microfinance project at CARE International UK. 

Emma has an English degree from Leicester and Strasbourg universities. Emma completed UpRising’s programme in East London in 2012/13 She can be found on twitter @EmmaEHoward
