Kasim Ali

Kasim was born and raised in Cardiff. He spent a year in industry working with Zeneca before studying Pharmacy at Nottingham university. Qualifying with Boots the Chemists he then followed his passion for travel by exploring Asia, the Middle East and South America extensively. Further studies included a Masters in International Relations at Bristol University, with a focus on development work overseas. After settling back in Cardiff to start a family he opened a teahouse with his wife in 2008 close to where they lived. Within the first year it went on to become judged the best cafe in the UK by the BSA industry awards. They now have three teahouses as well as a wholesale operation which spans across the globe. Their company, Waterloo Tea, works with partners such as TED and Do Lectures to continue both personal and company development, over a cup of tea.
