Libbi Prestidge

Libbi is new to uprising and is the Programme Coordinator for Cardiff as of June 2018.

Having grown up on the Welsh border, Libbi grew up loving theatre and performance and first experienced youth development through organisations including the National Youth Theatre of GB and Press Play as well as taking up opportunities to use theatre as a way to raise awareness for organisations including Amnesty International in her local community. 

After taking 4 months to explore some of South East Asia, where Libbi worked as a nanny for a for a family in the Philippines and backpacked across South India and Indonesia, Libbi spent a year training at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama's Young Actor's Studio before beginning her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Media, Journalism and Culture at Cardiff University. working with students through her role as Head of Sport. With her degree giving her opportunities to produce work for the charity Goodwill and Growth for Africa, Libbi has found her way to UpRising after volunteering focusing much of her degree on the Cardiff cultural industries policy and third sector.

Aside from work, Libbi's is a big foodie, loves running and most of all loves her fabulous cats Simba and Scar.
