Lucy Caldicott

Lucy is a campaigner and activist working to address issues of inequality, injustice and exclusion. She has worked in senior management positions at a range of voluntary and private sector organisations over the last twenty five years.

She began her career in international financial services marketing for American Express and MoneyGram International before moving to the charity sector. Some of the things she is most proud of are pioneering new approaches to supporting young people leaving care through mentoring support at the Prince’s Trust and developing innovative partnerships at VSO, with a focus on engaging corporate partners in volunteering and fundraising.

She then moved to become Director of Fundraising at CLIC Sargent, the children and young people’s cancer charity, leading teams throughout the UK raising funds for four new homes from home and delivering successful corporate partnerships with Tesco, Santander, and JD Wetherspoon.  Prior to joining UpRising, she was interim CEO at Diversity Role Models, which works to eradicate homophobic bullying in schools through curriculum-based workshops and teacher training.

Lucy has been a trustee on the boards of several charities, including Vauxhall City Farm, St Giles Trust, Hope and Homes for Children and Fair For View. She is currently on the board of the Fundraising Regulator, the independent regulator of charity fundraising, set up following the Etherington Review in 2015.
