Rhodri has been Director of BBC Wales for four years, after a career spanning journalism, marketing and strategy. BBC Wales now employs 1,200 people, producing programmes and services for Wales and the world - including BBC Radio Wales, Scrum V, BBC Wales Today, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Casualty and Hinterland. Last year, it announced plans to move its main HQ in Llandaff, Cardiff, to a new 150,000 sq ft city-centre site next to Cardiff Central rail station. Work on the building is expected to begin later this year. In 2012, BBC Wales opened the corporation’s biggest drama production centre in the UK at Roath Lock studios in Cardiff Bay. Rhodri has three children and is devout Newcastle United fan.
