Liverpool

Liverpool

UpRising launched in Liverpool in 2014 and has gone on to establish itself in the city as a key player in raising the aspirations and ambition of young adults in the area.

Our Programmes return to Liverpool soon.

"The UpRising Leadership Programme is important to me. I have noticed significant changes in myself over the past few months. I have become much more confident and open to new experiences. I am more comfortable with expressing myself and opinions without worrying about other people's criticism. I have also been able to network with a range of different types of leaders in Liverpool, which has made me love the city more." - Ru, Liverpool UpRiser

Social Action

Whilst on the Programmes our UpRisers have developed and delivered a massive range of Social Action projects direct in their communities. Recent themes have included: raising aspirations of young women and inspiring them to achieve their goals, understanding poverty and homelessness, young people’s sexual orientation and wellbeing, bullying, and the importance of green spaces for good health.

“It was great to get the opportunity to contribute to the debate with young people on the Uprising Programme in Liverpool about the critical issue of ethical business in a Global Economy. I was really encouraged by the interest shown by participants to help us engage more young people in the International Business Festival in June 2018” Ian McCarthy, Director of the International Business Festival
