Applying

You can find out more and apply to the programme by visiting ELP2's dedicated website which you can visit at www.elp2.uk

Our application form takes between 10 - 15 minutes to complete.

We will ask you for a short personal statement about why you are interested in the programme. We’ll also ask you for some information which is quite personal. You don’t need to complete this if you don’t want to, although most applicants do. Importantly, the information we collect is only used in connection with your application and to help us understand the impact of the programme. From the point that we offer you a place, no-one on the team knows anything about you, except what you share with them.  We assess every application individually in order to ensure that we’re providing support where it’s most needed. There is no interview component to the application process.

Before You Start

The Environmental Leadership Programme 2 is offered in a hybrid format - both with in-person activities (for example at The Cut in Shrewsbury and the West Midlands Combined Authority in Birmingham) and online. Our online sessions will help you develop practical skills being used in the modern workplace and we'll give you all the information you need before the first session to get set up on our digital platforms, as well as the joining instructions for the first Zoom session.

We’ll also ask you to complete a short survey that asks you about your skills, confidence and pre-existing knowledge. The answers you give are kept anonymously.

I think one of the most vital parts of the programme were the interactive sections of each session, where I got to converse with other participants like myself, along with listening to other peoples perspectives, and also discussing the various areas of environmental issues.
