Opportunities for 18-30 year olds 

🖥️Beyond the Bias is currently recruiting for its Digital Talent Programme. The programme aims to empower and support 15 Black, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi aged 18-24 years old working-class young people as they navigate the dynamic landscape of the tech, data, and digital sectors. The comprehensive program comprises key elements designed to foster personal development, mentorship, career insights, training, work experience, and ultimately, placements in apprenticeships or entry-level job roles.

📢Calling young #Feminist leaders (18-25) in the UK! Join Restless Development’s Walking the Talk Steering Group & help shape impactful campaigns driving global gender equality! Apply to collaborate with feminists globally and gain valuable advocacy & leadership skills.

 

March is Women’s History Month, in honour of this, Skaped is running several free workshops throughout the month dedicated to unravelling cycling of oppression, festering body liberation and empowerment. Open for those 18-30 years old, prioritising those open to the term 'woman' in any capacity, especially those who identify as POC and/or part of the global majority. Register your interest here

 

🍄UK native plants and fungi need your help... 🍄The Grow Wild grant is offering £500 to bring your nature project to life this summer! The grant is open to individuals or groups aged 14-25 with a project idea to celebrate why UK native plant and/or fungi are so special. Applications close 19th March 2024.

 

Opportunities for School Students 

Applications for the Sutton Trust’s UK Summer Schools 2024 programme are now open! This programme offers you the chance to experience life at university before you decide your next steps. Apply here for the opportunity to experience life attending one of the thirteen excellent universities the Sutton Trust has partnered with!

Opportunities for All 

🎨 Want to Get Out and Get Arty? At the ELP2 Campaign Weekend we met Sara Bellis who founded and runs Get Out and Get Arty (GOGA) a community group supporting folks to develop nature journaling as a way to build connection to nature and mindfulness. GOGA are based in Shrewsbury but run regular online sessions too, so if you’re interested then get in touch! 

 

Sign up for hands-on workshop where you will learn the fascinating art of cyanoprinting! This workshop will by the Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust in conjunction with Sustainably Muslim on Saturday 9th March. ☀️Following the successful festival at Dartington Hall last summer, the Byline and Dartington Festival is returning this summer 5-7 July. With the same mix of comedy, discussions about the big issues of the day, a literary programme, documentaries and music with the opportunity to enjoy the best drink and food in beautiful surroundings. This year’s theme will be “Democracy in Dangers” as half of the world’s population will be facing elections in 2024 including us here in Britain and also in America.
