Amira holds a BA in History and a MA in International Relations from the University of Birmingham. An UpRising alum, her interests lie in platforming the stories and agency of young people in policy and funding areas that impact them which she had done through consulting with the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. Through her work on Beatfreeks and We Don’t Settle projects, she has been able to co-create space to platform race and representation in order to change the voice of heritage through arts, governance and research. She is currently working in the third sector to create equitable access to education for young people growing up in disadvantaged environments.
